Sharon Lee Ritchie
HUMANSCAPES, LLC Principal / Designer / Stager / Image Consultant

Sharon moved to New York City from Pennsylvania after earning her interior design degree, then was promoted to Senior Project Designer in two years while working at the first of several established design firms on large Fortune 500 projects. The idea that she creates “humanscapes” stunned her during the final walk-through of her largest corporate design and space planning project while viewing interior vistas that included thousands of workstations, executive offices, and the conference center of the 1.3-million-square-foot corporate campus headquarters that she and the team had designed and built.

The “humanscapes” concept, together with being responsible for creating spaces where thousands of people spend much of their lives, sparked the idea for HUMANSCAPES, LLC from her private residential practice that had also been flourishing. She founded HUMANSCAPES in 1998 when the appeal of focusing on residential design replaced her interest in balancing massive corporate projects with the intimacy of residential design. After more than twenty-five years of exceptional results for clients, Sharon's passion for creative problem-solving continues to build.

A foundational element of Sharon’s success both personally and professionally is Customer Service. A client who was volunteering at CUNY immediately recommended Sharon as a professor for a Customer Service course when hearing about the opening. Sharon’s enthusiasm for sharing her experience and knowledge with students has helped to set their paths for success. At the core of everything is the unshakable value of advocating for your clients, yourself, and the global community.

Sharon’s standards for excellence were discovered early in life and have continued through her career. Attention-to-detail that was set growing up is still a signature hallmark to this day in all aspects of her work – Interior Design, Home Staging, Relocation Services, and Image Consulting.
